Sorah An-Nas ( Mankind ) - Verses Number 6

قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ النَّاسِ ( 1 )

Say, "I seek refuge in the Lord of mankind,

مَلِكِ النَّاسِ ( 2 )

The Sovereign of mankind.

إِلَٰهِ النَّاسِ ( 3 )

The God of mankind,

مِن شَرِّ الْوَسْوَاسِ الْخَنَّاسِ ( 4 )

From the evil of the retreating whisperer -

الَّذِي يُوَسْوِسُ فِي صُدُورِ النَّاسِ ( 5 )

Who whispers [evil] into the breasts of mankind -

مِنَ الْجِنَّةِ وَالنَّاسِ ( 6 )

From among the jinn and mankind."

The Difference between Advising and CondemningIn this classical treatise, Ibn Rajab (may Allah have mercy on him) discusses the differences between advising and condemning, which is an extremely important topic since it is very common that the two are confused for one another. For the most part, his talk revolves around the dealings and affairs of the scholars, and how it was from their way to advise and accept the truth from one another. The Message of the MessengersDr. Saleh As-Saleh shows in his introduction to this book that Allah could not have created this universe without a purpose.
